Forward-looking journalist with more than 15 years experience reporting and anchoring daily newscasts. I have the attested ability to assess and tackle critical situations and follow through to the best outcome. Throughout my career, I have exhibited the skills and knowledge to enterprise, as well as produce, stories that impact the local community while developing key contacts to gain results. I have a passion for writing coupled with the proven ability to create, and complete, written assignments under daily deadlines. As an experienced journalist, I am agile in multitask environments that require a wide scope of activities. I am also a journalist who is very active in the local community.  So much so, I founded and hosted a successful 5k run/walk to garner scholarship money for deserving students. Furthermore, I have spent countless hours appearing at various events as a representative of my employer in an effort to further promote the company’s mission and brand.

• Develop internal and external communications for both the Augusta Fire Department and the Augusta-Richmond County Emergency Management Agency

• Create and write communications materials such as news releases, articles, newsletters, website content, social media postings, video scripts, talking points and speeches for key stakeholders as well as plan news conferences.
